Step 2 | Be Baptized
Read: Mark 16:15–16
“Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved.”
Jesus commands all believers to be baptized in water to show they believe the gospel. Jesus had no sin but died in our place. Baptism declares, “My old life of sin died with Jesus, so bury it!” The water represents the ground. Coming out of the water declares, “I’ve been raised from the deadness of sin to live a new life in Jesus.” The water washing over us represents God washing away our sins.
If your answer is yes to all three, we’ll baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). And then it’s time to “be filled” with the Holy Spirit.

- Do you believe Jesus died for your sins and was raised from the dead?
- Do you accept that your old life died with Jesus and that He gave you a new life?
- Will you follow/obey Him with your new life?
If your answer is yes to all three, we’ll baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). And then it’s time to “be filled” with the Holy Spirit.
