Step 5 | Be Jesus’ Disciple
Read: Mark 8:34–38
“If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.”
Following Jesus means you no longer follow the crowd, others, or even yourself. It means you follow the One who loves you so much that He gave His life for you. Many people say they believe in Jesus or call themselves Christians, but according to Jesus, only those who follow Him are His disciples.
Jesus said in John 10:27, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
How can we hear Jesus’ voice? By reading the Word of God. Jesus speaks to us through His Word, the Bible.
